Good Shepherd is the 4th site of New Day, a ministry that supports food insufficient students in Arlington ISD. Each week, Good Shepherd helps to pack the more than 1,000 bags that students receive for each weekend. We believe God calls us to serve our neighbor at the most basic levels, and would love for you to partner with us.
Ways to Be Involved:
-
package and assemble food with us each week, typically Mondays.
-
be a delivery driver on Wednesday mornings to our school partners
-
help to transport food from wholesale to our pantry at the church
-
donate money through Good Shepherd to New Day to purchase the food or
even directly to New Day here. -
donate single serving packages of food from the following list*:
beef sticks mac and cheese cups
applesauce ramen noodles
oatmeal vienna sausage
nutrigrain bars individual cereal boxes
cheese crackers juice boxes (100% juice only)
tuna packets chef boyardee cups
Note: No products may contain nuts or be made in a facility where cross contamination might occur.
*If you're familiar with our church building, leave them on the shelves outside the restrooms near the sanctuary. If you're not, just drop them in the church office and we'll happily get them where they need to go.
