Good Shepherd partners with the HOPE Tutoring Center which has been dedicated to helping children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds since their establishment in 1996. They have grown to serve thousands of students over the years. Hope Tutoring believes in empowering students to succeed by creating an environment where they feel seen, heard, and inspired to learn. Their programs are designed to help students improve their grades and outlook.
For the 2024-2025 school year, free tutoring programs will be offered to Arlington students in Grades 2 - 8 at Good Shepherd on Tuesdays from 4-5 pm. Church members also mentor students at Blanton Elementary on Thursdays from 10:10-11 am.
