Community Garden Graphic Options (1).png
Come grow healthy foods, friendships, and have fun with your neighbors.

Gardeners keep their own produce, except for at least 10% which will be distributed to our local community. All experience levels welcome. Please don’t let cost or access to gardening tools hinder your participation. If you’re new to gardening, we hope to provide events and mentors to get you started!

Why?
  • We want to be able to be a gathering place for diverse groups of people within our community, to provide healthy food choices for our neighbors, and educational events to help us all grow together.

Cost: $25/season (scholarships are available) which covers water usage and plot.

Requirements:
  • At least 10% of produce grown will remain with COGS to distribute locally
  • Willingness to attend educational activities and community meal (not all, but some)
  • Participate in community workdays to maintain both your garden and the community garden
  • Make every effort to keep the gardens organic and earth-kind

Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist will provide:
  • The land and raised beds (approximately 4’ x 16’) to grow your produce
  • Space for community meetings, educational events, and a community meal created with our harvest seasonally.

When?
  • Launches the Fall 2021 growing season
We’re also seeking partners for design, construction, management of the garden.
